Critical Broadband Communications Roadmap
What does the future hold for Critical Communications networks, usage and applications and in particular broadband services? How critical is mobile broadband for TETRA Users and what are the technical options for delivery? This interactive seminar will facilitate discussion between Users, Operators, Suppliers and Analysts to debate what will be required from Critical Communications networks in the future.
In particular the agenda will examine User needs and expectations for broadband services and what are the different bearer options to facilitate the right balance of secure and resilient voice and data services.
The agenda will focus on:
- Feedback from the TETRA + Critical Communications Association's 'Broadband for Critical Communications' meeting
- How do you make TETRA broadband?
- Developing Next Generation TETRA for First Responders
- How To Use Complementary LTE Technology On A TETRA Network
- The Place for TEDS – complement to LTE

Non Public Safety Critical Communications
This seminar will examine how to optimise the use of TETRA and complementary technologies in non public safety mission critical environments including oil & gas, energy, utilities, rail, metros, mass transit, highways and airports. Discussion will focus on technical implementation issues, market needs, operational considerations and application development.
Using key case studies, presentations and discussion will evaluate:
- Planning, designing and deploying total coverage solutions to enable stable mission critical communications
- Evaluating the requirements for broadband critical communications in non public safety environments
- Using TETRA applications to improve operational efficiency and security
- Integrating TETRA with commercial radio systems
- Debating the development of advanced applications for the future
